The Hadrian Hotel

The Hadrian Hotel can be found amongst the rolling hills of the Tyne Valley, Northumberland where Hadrians Wall crosses the River Tyne near the ancient market town of Hexham.

The hotel is situated in the village of Wall on the A6079 5 mile north of Hexham and the A69. It is within 20 miles of all of the main Roman sites – Vindolanda, Housesteads and the Roman Army Museum, and is 30 mile from Kielder Forest and 7 mile from Corbridge.

“We stayed here for one night during our Hadrians Wall walk. The staff were welcoming, the room nicely decorated with great en suite facilities, and very comfortable bed. We were in a room overlooking the road, but we were not disturbed at all by traffic noise, as it is a very quiet village. We ate in the on site restaurant, and the steak pie was amazing! Just the thing after a hard days walk! The breakfast was very good too, with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend.”

“Excellent location, close to the Hadrians Wall path. Obviously recently decorated with everything clean, tidy and well presented. Room was perfect with comfortable bed and decent sized bathroom with powerful shower. The best bit was they new I was walking solo and checked my booking and realised I was running late and phoned to make sure I was ok and safe. Never had such a nice touch before. Only down side is now the secret is out everyone wants to stay here! If possible would give 6 out of 5.”
